Well here we are with 10 days to go until we leave. The Anderson household has been a flurry of activity for the past couple weeks; Dan has spent much of the time out of town on business making sure everything is ready for his departure with that some amazing opportunities have come his way and hopefully his time away will rep great rewards for his business and those stepping up to the plate to help. As for the girls they have been diligently working to get ahead on all their online courses so we don't have to worry too much about Internet connection while we are in Uganda. What does this look like you ask, means Ally and Kylie completing three months worth of assignments in one month and they have been amazing, I am so proud of their hard work and diligence. Michelle has also been working very hard at finishing a very hard semester load. Just before we leave she will take two provincials, one final and finish a project. I think she is excited for next semester where the course load is a little lighter! Again I am beaming with pride for all the work they have been doing. As for me on top of helping them with their schoolwork and still doing the driving for their activities, and still working some maid service jobs in there, I have also been busy fundraising for our different projects while we r over there, and collecting the necessary things to fill five hockey bags that are going with us!
I want to thank all the generous givers that have donated to the mud house, the water tank and the gift baskets. We have completed the funds for the mud hut and the water tank and we have just over half of what we need for the 60 gift baskets for the new students. What an outpouring of love! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Also a huge thank you to our soccer club Langley FC for stepping up and doing a soccer drive going on this Saturday at LEC. Any gently used or new soccer gear can be donated there and your name put into a draw! Can't wait to hand those jerseys out!
Thank you seems so small but it comes from the depth of our hearts. Please continue to keep us in your prayers for health, safety, logistics as we wind down our household here and wind up our house hold there, please pray for opportunity to really be the hands and feet of Jesus there as we care for those around us and pray for a lasting deep impact on our entire family that as we come home all we have learned and seen won't be forgotten in the busyness of this life!
Love the Andersons
